Iowa advisor 529 seeking Upromise replacement

Iowa has issued a request for qualifications (RFQ) to firms interested in taking over the program manager role for the Iowa Advisor 529 Plan. Upromise Investments has informed the state that it will not bid to renew its current management contract that expires in September 2012.

The Iowa Advisor 529 Plan currently has approximately $100 million in assets for Iowa residents and $5 million outside Iowa.

The deadline for interested firms to submit their RFQ is May 11, 2012.
