529 asset growth continues strong in Q1 2004
Assets in 529 college savings plans increased nearly 14 percent in the first quarter of 2004, to an estimated $40 billion, according to the College Savings Foundation. Assets at the end of 2003 were $35.1 billion. Net inflows during the first quarter of 2004 were $4.1 billion.
