Ohio 529 leads class-action suit against Putnam
The Ohio Tuition Trust Authority (OTTA) has been named lead plaintiff in a class-action suit against Putnam Investments for its market-timing activities. The case is being heard by the U.S. District Court in Baltimore, Maryland.
OTTA sponsors the 529 programs in Ohio and contracted with Putnam for program and investment management in July 2000.
