Utah 529 eliminates age rules, resident-tuition benefit

Utah's governor has signed legislation (HB 321) that removes the requirement that distributions from the Utah 529 plan begin no later than the beneficiary's 27th birthday or, if later, 10 years after the account is opened. In addition, a provision that provides the beneficiary of a "vested" account resident status for state tuition purposes has been deleted.
