Ohio's direct-sold 529 making changes to investment line-up

The Ohio Tuition Trust Authority has announced changes to the CollegeAdvantage direct investment product line, effective February 17, 2009.

Six new investment options will be added including a multi-manager age-based option, the Vanguard Wellington Option, the PIMCO Total Return Option, the PIMCO High Yield Option, the Oppenheimer Main Street Small Cap Option, and the GE Institutional International Equity Option.

At the same time, 10 of the existing Putnam options in the plan will be closed. Assets currently invested in those options will automatically be transferred to other plan options, including the six new options. In each case, the replacement portfolio will incur lower asset-based fees.
